Frequently Asked Questions
If there are any additional questions you have, please contact the Orientation Team (Natalia and Lucy) at RWJMSOrientationTeam@gmail.com
How many tickets does each student get? Can I request more?
DUE JULY 1st: Students must request tickets for their guests through the White Coat Ceremony Form
Each student can receive up to 8 guest tickets (not including the student), with the option to request additional tickets if needed. Additional guest tickets are not guaranteed and dependent on availability. If you request additional tickets, we will let you know if we are able to satisfy your request by July 10th. We will not accept any ticket requests after July 1st.
Where do guests find parking for the New Jersey State Theatre?
Parking in New Brunswick includes metered street parking and local parking garages. We suggest you arrive early to ensure you can find parking for all your guests! Use the Parking Locator to help with planning.
Students will be transported directly to the White Coat Ceremony from Orientation programming, but students will be responsible for finding their own transportation home from the State Theater.
What time do doors open for guests to arrive? Can guests arrive early who need accessibility accommodations?
Doors open for the general public at 1:00 pm. If your guest requires special accommodations, they can enter the State Theatre at 12:45 pm. Please remember to have your guests check the updated COVID-19 policies on the State Theatre website.
Where can I pick up tickets to give to my guests?
Tickets will be distributed to students during the first day of Orientation Week (Monday July 18th) along with your white coat. They will not be mailed. Please arrange a private time to provide the tickets to guests.
What should I wear/bring to the White Coat Ceremony as a student?
The dress of the White Coat Ceremony is Business Formal with your white coate (you will receive during Orientation Week). If you have any questions, you can consult our What to Wear page.
You should not bring anything (purses, big wallets, ect.) that cannot fit into the pocket of your white coat. There will be nowhere to store items at the seat since you will be processing in to the theatre (similar to a graduation procession).
