Financial Aid

In​ order to receive financial aid, you must complete the 2021-2022 FAFSA AND the RBHS Financial Aid Application (see below for more information).

Helpful notes:

  • This application is not complex like the FAFSA. It is mostly yes or no questions; however, it needs to be filled out before the financial aid department can distribute loans to you.

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)

Helpful Notes:​

  • You will need to fill in your financial information.

  • You will only need to provide parent financial information if you are a student from a disadvantaged background.  

  • You can use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) if you fill out the FAFSA after filing your tax return.

Additional Forms

If you are an incoming student who has never participated in the William D. Ford Direct Loan Program, then you will also need to complete the following two steps:


1. Can I apply for additional financial aid, or decrease my financial aid package?

Yes, you can both apply for additional financial aid (up the total cost of attendance), or submit a request to decrease or decline the amount awarded.

  • To apply for additional loan funding:

    • Students can submit a Graduate PLUS Loan Application at, as well as complete a Graduate PLUS MPN

    • Or, students can apply for a private loan using the private loan school code 002629-23.

  • To adjust loan amounts, students can email

  • If expecting a refund from your supplemental loan funding you should set up Direct Deposit for quicker processing


2. Can I pay the tuition in installments?

Yes, tuition can be paid in installments. To find out more information on different methods of payment click here: Each semester is paid in 3 installments (half of cost initially, 1⁄4 of cost after 30 days, and the final 1⁄4 of cost after 60 days).

3. When is this due?

Financial information is already being processed, so if you have not done so already, submit as soon as possible!

4. Can I waive the health insurance?

All students will automatically be charged for health insurance, but are not required to keep it.  You must provide proof of other health insurance coverage through the electronic waiver online at: University Health Plans. Waivers must be completed annually.
