In order to receive financial aid, you must complete the 2022-2023 FAFSA AND the RBHS Financial Aid Application.

1. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

Visit the FAFSA website and click on "Start Here".

Helpful Notes:

Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) Federal School Code: 002629
You will need to fill in your financial information.
You will only need to provide parent financial information if you are a student from a disadvantaged background.
You can use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) if you fill out the FAFSA after filing your tax return.

2. RBHS Financial Aid Application

This application is not complex like the FAFSA. It is made up mostly of yes or no questions. It must be filled out before the financial aid department can distribute loans to you, so make sure you get this done!

3. Additional Forms

If you are an incoming student who has never participated in the William D. Ford Direct Loan Program, then you will also need to complete the following 2 steps:

FAQs

1. Can I apply for additional financial aid or decrease my financial aid package?

Yes, you can apply for additional financial aid (up to the total cost of attendance) or submit a request to decrease or decline the amount awarded.

To apply for additional loan funding, you can...

Submit a Graduate PLUS Loan application at www.studentloans.gov. You will also need to complete a Graduate PLUS Master Promissory Note.
Apply for a private loan using the private loan school code 002629-23.

2. Can I pay the tuition in installments?

Yes, tuition can be paid in installments. To find out more information on different methods of payment, click here.

3. When is this due?

Financial aid information is already being processed! If you have not done so already, submit as soon as possible!

4. Can I waive the health insurance?

All students will automatically be charged for health insurance, but are not required to keep it. You must provide proof of other health insurance coverage, and complete the health Insurance waiver that will be sent in July 2022. Be on the lookout for an email from Student Health, the waiver form is not available yet.
